Dr. Jonathan Esensten leads an experimental cellular therapy process development and manufacturing group. His group focusses on improving techniques for manufacturing T cell based therapies for patients with autoimmune disease, solid organ transplant, and cancer. He was a Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Wendell Lim. He is co-director of the clinical Regulatory T Cell Manufacturing Group. He is also Medical Director of the UCSF HICTF and GMP Facility.
Hilla Ifrach is the Business Manager for the UCSF experimental cell therapy group. Hilla supported the management of grant funding at Columbia University and Teachers College, working closely with Principal Investigators across university divisions. Understanding and promoting access to education is an interest that has guided much of Hilla’s professional experience and graduate education. In her position at the Community College Resource Center (CCRC) at Teachers College, Hilla provided comprehensive financial management to support the research needs of the center, which sought to influ
