The Investigational Cellular Therapy (ICT) program works closely with research groups at UCSF and partner institutions to develop new cell and gene therapy technologies, platforms, and products.
We support early and late-stage process development, pre-clinical studies, regulatory submissions, and clinical manufacturing under current good manufacturing practice (cGMP). We operate primarily out of the pre-clinical Cell Therapy Development (CTD) Lab in the UCSF Mission Center Building and two academic GMP facilities: the Human Islet and Cellular Transplant Facility (HICTF) located in the UCSF Mission Center Building; and the Pediatric Cell Therapy Lab (PCTL) located in the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
Our team provides diverse expertise across all aspects of cell therapy drug development including process development, GMP manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, operations/facilities, and regulatory affairs.
Our goal: collaboration & acceleration
Our goal is to accelerate the delivery of promising new cell and gene therapies through collaboration with UCSF investigators and a wide variety of academic and industry partners.
